Since
been bitten by the wine bug in the early 90's, Carol has become a familiar face
on the Scottish wine scene. With a background in hospitality management, she is
able to understand the needs of both the trade and the consumer when it comes to
wine education.
Carol is an approved program provider for the Wine and Spirit Education Trust
and so can bring courses 'in house' and also teaches the Wine Education Service
'courses for wine lovers'. She is a regular presenter for Wines of Portugal and
the Port Wine Institute.
Carol became the weekly wine columnist for the north of Scotland newspaper the
Press and Journal in 1999 and in the same year launched the Aberdeen Wine
Appreciators tasting group.
She also writes regularly for Highland Life and Style Magazine.
Corporate entertainment is another speciality and Carol frequently arranges
tailor made tutored wine tastings around themes such as 'Unusual Grapes', ABC
Australia and Sparkling Wine versus Champagne. She also enjoys hosting Gourmet
Wine dinners and the challenges that arise when food and wine combining.
Carols informal style and infectious enthusiasm ensures an enjoyable yet
informative environment whatever the event. |
