Cyprus Wine Tasting & Masterclass

Monday, 31st October 2016

Vintners’ Hall, Upper Thames Street, London, EC4V 3BG

11:00 am – 5:00 pm

This event will give the opportunity for trade, media and wine lovers to explore the island’s 6000-year winemaking history and taste genuinely exciting wines, which will prove once again that Cyprus deserves an important place on the international wine map.

Cyprus’ historical links with Vintners’ Hall date back to 1363, when King Peter I of Cyprus, together with four other kings, was entertained at a banquet reception at the Hall, widely known as the Feast of the Five Kings. According to the tradition, the five kings used Commandaria, the traditional wine of Cyprus, to toast.

At this TRADE ONLY event, many internationally awarded wines will be presented, produced by the distinctive local grapes of the island, ideally blended with the international popular varieties.

Caroline Gilby MW, an expert on Cyprus wines, will hold a Masterclass, as part of the event, which will take place at Vintners’ Hall at 1.00 pm.

Attendance is free but registration is required by clicking below.
