Linda was working in the city when her passion for wine blossomed.
A
Passion and Hobby turned into a career in 1995 when Linda became involved in wine marketing and promotional work for various wine producers, plus a spell as a wine advisor for Oddbins and working on the International Wine Challenge 2000. After intensive study and
experience as a collector, Linda moved into the business full time. Over the next few years and while working as the Visits co-ordinator for Wine Australia, U.K. office, Linda passed the WSET diploma and gained a merit in Wine Sensory Evaluation at Plumpton
College where she also attended a wine making and viticultural degree course. Now freelance, Linda’s focus is wine education and promotion. Linda is an exam marker up to diploma level for the WSET and is on the judging panel for the IWSC and IWC.
Although Linda has many years experience with Australian wines via her association with Wine Australia and visits to the regions, Rhône and Alsace are also regularly explored on the ground and in the glass. Linda’s tutored tastings vary widely from small wine groups to large
public events and often include the systematic approach in order to improve tasting skills and knowledge, but always in a friendly, informal and fun way. |
