Michelle was
born and raised in Toronto, Canada by an Italian father and French Canadian
mother. Both teaching and wine are in Michelle’s blood - her Mother, is a
retired teacher and her Father, an amateur winemaker. He had no need for a
bottling line – he had Michelle.
She spent the
early part of her professional career with the Royal Bank Financial Group, in
various functions including, consulting, writing and developing marketing, sales
and training material.
Upon moving to
London, Michelle combined her corporate background with her personal passion for
wine. After successfully completing all levels of qualification from WSET (Wine
and Spirits Education Trust), she established her business, Wine Affairs, and
has not looked back.
Michelle runs
a monthly consumer wine tasting program, lectures for WSET (all
levels) and the Wine Education Service. She is a judge for the International
Wine Challenge, the International Wine and Spirits Competition and, is a member
of the Circle of Wine Writers.
Michelle
provides consulting services to private and corporate clients including tasting
functions, wine and food workshops and wine recommendations.
In her spare
time, she is pursuing her Masters in Education, improving her foreign
language skills and doing free-lance writing.
Michelle and her
husband combined their love of wine, food and golf whenever possible and have
visited many of the worlds’ wine regions. Areas of expertise include Canada,
Italy and Cognac. |
