• Been in the wine trade for 27 years and passed MW in 1992

• Grew up in good old W&A Gilbey wholesale (then part of IDV UK) before moving onto the pioneering Geoffrey Roberts agency house – which was forerunner for New World wines

• Have spent equal time working in both the On and Off trade channels

• I have been lucky to work with many good and influential people – many of whom have provided me with inspiration and direction – amongst whom highlights include:

  • Châteaux Loudenne, Lafite and Lafleur in Bordeaux

  • Comte Georges de Vogüé, Joseph Drouhin and Bonneau du Martray in Burgundy

  • Pierre Gimonnet and Bollinger in Champagne

  • M. Chapoutier, Vieux Télégraphe in the Rhône

  • Gaja. Bruno Giacosa, Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Cantele, Tiefenbrunner in Italy

  • Ridge Vineyards, Henschke, Petaluma in the New World

• I now run my own company working especially closely in the On Trade and with Corporate and Private clients; also support new producer entrants into the UK market (via Brand Plans and Trade Channel contacts)

• Apart from wine, hobbies are cooking, walking, cycling, cricket, rugby union, art and gardening.
