'Let’s get people into wine, and wine into people!’ is Patty's motto. She is passionate about helping consumers find the right wine for them and introducing new and exciting choices to enhance their lifestyle.

Patty has a very friendly, accessible and unintimidating presentational style which makes her a very popular speaker with both wine societies and corporate clients.

She joined the wine trade in 1992 from a catering background. Her passion for food and cooking stimulated an early interest in wine, they are natural companions!
Patty regularly hosts themed food and wine events, though she enjoys sharing her infectious enthusiasm on any wine-related topic, and she brings an entertaining, humorous approach to every occasion.

Patty is also involved in training those concerned in the sale and service of wine and is committed to improving product knowledge and skills. She designs and implements bespoke wine training programmes and also is wine development consultant to a number of retailers throughout the UK, working with pub/brewery groups, restaurants and bars.

She has considerable experience in developing tailor-made wine lists for a wide variety of bars and restaurants, together with wine list design and marketing activities.
Understanding the needs of the individuals on both sides of the counter helps Patty ensure she can maximise quality and value for retailers and consumers alike.

Patty considers herself extremely fortunate to have travelled to many wine producing regions throughout Europe and more exotic locations such as North & South America and Australia, where she has enhanced her understanding of the wines produced there.

She also continues her love affair with the much under-rated wines of Jerez (especially combined with food-matching) and loves to spread the word at every opportunity.
