Wine in History

Patricia is a wine consultant and lecturer, with activities spanning marketing, education and journalism. She is a native of Augusta, Georgia, USA, and an honours graduate of Rice University, Houston. 

As a qualified architect and engineer, she has designed and supervised construction of wineries in North America, France, Italy and the UK.

Her current activities include teaching Wine and Spirit Education Trust courses, lecturing part-time in the Wine Studies Programmes at Plumpton College/University of Brighton, and making a little bit of white wine in northern Italy and the UK. 

She also teaches consumer courses and gives seminars on many regions. She especially likes linking wine and art.

Besides being a member of the Association of Wine Educators, she is also a member of the Society of Wine Educators in the USA. 

Patricia lives in London and Prague with her husband, son and daughter. Her leisure activities include cooking, sports, art and architecture, choral singing and fundraising for charities.
