 I’m
a wine merchant and wine educator, which it is my dream job (in past lives I
have been an international tax & business advisor, a chartered accountant,
attorney, mechanic, gourmet chef ...). In large part I sell wines because it
gives me access to a larger selection of fabulous wines to use for my tastings
and lectures.
I’m a member of the Wine Century Club which reflects my passion
for unusual varietals. I expect every tasting I do to introduce at least one
variety that no one has tried before.
With my background as a chef, I believe that wine is one of the
basic food groups and ALL tastings should include a selection of fine foods to
complement the wines – and to illustrate how much better wine is with food.
Recently I’ve started doing wine tours to all the areas in which
I specialize. I’ll also do tours to far flung places in the New World
(especially California, Oregon, Washington, and New Zealand). |
