Originally an events management professional with a degree in International Management and French, followed by stints in both France and California, it was only a matter of time before the wine bug bit.  Sophie has been operating independently since 2004 and is also in her second year of study towards the prestigious Master of Wine qualification.

Sophie holds the Wine and Spirit Education Trust Diploma for which she was awarded the IWSC (International Wine & Spirits Competition) and Waitrose Scholarship.  She is also a judge for the IWSC and an Approved Programme Provider for the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust).  But Sophie does much more than just teach how to taste wine like a pro…

The combination of Sophie's event management experience and wine knowledge allows her to offer tailored corporate events (that involve more than just an open bar tab!) at a time when looking after key clients and developing effective teams is key.  'Many companies find that another off-roading weekend or slap-up meal alone no longer encourage the bonding that they require. On the other hand, everyone has an opinion about wine and we provide a setting in which people can build personal relationships in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.'

Sophie designs everything from an evening's wine tasting to week-long programmes; each uses wine to maximise the time people spend working with each other.  She has a network of clients throughout the UK for both the training and the corporate entertainment arm of her business.
