Vivienne Franks

Aspects of Wine Limited

Vivienne Franks  Vivienne has an MA in French and German. Her background in food buying for a major retailer, led her to develop an interest in wine. This interest grew into what has now become her passion. She has an enthusiastic approach to informative tastings for wine clubs, restaurants and hotels as well as running informal events for private and corporate clients.

Vivienne has travelled widely throughout the world's wine regions, and she particularly enjoys sharing her fascination with the lesser-known European wines from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Hungary. Other favourite European wine countries include Italy, Spain and Portugal. Her visits to South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, North and South America have enabled her to keep on top of emerging wine trends in the New World.

Vivienne regularly judges for The International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) and The International Wine Challenge (IWC). She has recently become a Wine Guide for Arblaster and Clarke Wine Tours.

Although Vivienne is an occasional freelance writer for www.wine-pages.com, her preferred means of communication is talking to people and teaching them tasting skills and wine appreciation.

Vivienne is an Approved Programme Provider for the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and also teaches for the WSET® School from Foundation to Diploma level.

She develops and teaches courses for consumers and runs tastings for The Wine Education Service. www.wine-education-service.co.uk. and for Leiths School of Food and Wine and Kings College, London.
