Several members of the AWE have recently returned from a study trip to Alsace, sponsored by CIVA (Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins d’Alsace). The trip was led by AWE Council Member Helen Savage and was focused on visiting several producers over three solid days, covering all three types of producer; ie small independents, large houses and co-operatives.

This type of sponsored study tour is vital for members to keep their knowledge current and helps keep AWE members at the forefront of wine education.
