Clericus
Wild Sauvignon Blanc
MMXVI
Clark Estate Wines
Marlborough
New Zealand

I was delighted to receive my sponsored wine from New Zealand Wines, especially apt on International Sauvignon Blanc Day!

I tasted the wine with colleagues at the Annual General Meeting of The Association of Wine Educators.

This wine is from the Clark Estate in New Zealand.
It’s a lovely pale straw colour and on the nose there is vibrant notes of grass and gooseberry.
On the palate there is gooseberry and green apple and also a lovely rich mouthfeel from the barrel fermentation.  Good acidity keeps the wine fresh and crisp.
Pair with Shellfish and Goats Cheese.

Thank you to New Zealand Wines and Clark Estate.
