 Bryony began her career in
public relations in 1989 working for a major international consultancy. After
five years in the PR world, she decided to switch careers to develop her
favourite hobby – a love of wine!
Gaining experience in the
retail trade at Bottoms Up and John Harvey & Sons in Bristol, she passed her
WSET Diploma with flying colours and soon began to run wine tastings - initially
for friends and then at Harveys Wine Cellars and Restaurant.
Through ‘word of mouth’ her
reputation for creating fun, informal, yet informative wine tastings grew. For
four years, Bryony travelled throughout the south of England working as a
freelance wine educator running corporate hospitality events, private parties
and training for hotel and restaurant staff. In 1998 she became a member of the
Association of Wine Educators.
Bryony now runs her own
public relations business offering specialist advice and expertise to clients in
the wine trade. However, she still enjoys organising tailor-made tutored wine
evenings for corporate entertainment and private parties, which enables her to
share her infectious enthusiasm for all things vinous! |
