Neil
runs Grape Sense, a leading provider of wine education and training. By conducting tastings, courses and dinners on a variety of themes and
levels for all consumers, trade and corporate clients, Neil combines his
experience and enthusiasm to make wine knowledge readily accessible.
Neil
initially worked and trained in the hospitality industry, in both the UK and
Europe, after which on achieving the Certificate In Education, experience was
gained in the educational sector.
Through many years working with top quality food and wine, Neil believes
that an ongoing passion and enthusiasm for the subject is essential to deliver
events in a relaxed, yet informative fashion.
With
a developing wine culture in the UK, he advocates that the link between the wine
consumer and trade should be a closer one.
When talking to consumer groups, he will endeavour to provide useful and
practical information as an aid to buy wines with confidence.
For trade groups, there is always an emphasis on the ability to determine
customer’s needs, and to ensure that the ratio between quality and value for
money is in balance.
During
his six years as a free-lance Wine Educator, Neil has conducted tastings at
major Food and Wine Shows on an international basis, and is a well known speaker
at several Wine Societies.
His tailor-made wine training programmes are designed to get to the core
of a client’s needs, and successful working relationships have been forged
with leading Hotels, Restaurants, Clubs and London City Wine Bars.
