Tim studied languages at Cambridge and remains fluent in French and Spanish. He then decided to convert to law (for reasons he can’t quite remember) and ended up spending 15 years working as a real estate solicitor in a number of law firms. From 2006 to 2014, he was a Professional Support Lawyer and spent much of his time delivering training to a wide range of audiences and writing articles.
In 2014, he took the plunge to pursue his dream of working with wine and started on the Wine Business degree at Plumpton College in East Sussex. Whilst studying at Plumpton, he gained his WSET Diploma.
Tim is now back at Plumpton as a Wine Business Lecturer. He has worked with the WSET on the development of the new Diploma, including writing some of the new study materials and is a member of the Wines of Great Britain Training and Education Working Party.
Tim runs tastings for a number of groups and (perhaps somewhat to his surprise) has embraced virtual tastings in these strange times. He has also done some writing, notably an article for The Wine Merchant magazine on wine in Romania!
